What are JetBlue travel credits?

Travel credits are quite famous among regular flyers. These are the refund amount given by Airlines to their passengers when a flight is canceled, either by the passenger or the airline itself. These are also used to compensate for other services that the passenger is eligible for. JetBlue is a well-known name in the airline industry, and managing credits comes second nature. So if you have JetBlue flight credit and want to redeem it, here's how to go about it.

How to book a Jetblue flight with travel credit?

  • Go to the official JetBlue website. https://www.jetblue.com/

  • Select your flight.

  • After you reach the payment homepage, you must select the travel credit. Now drop down will become visible.

  • You can either log in using your TrueBlue account details or your login with 10 digits on this page. TrueBlue members can use their credentials, while new passengers will use the 10 digit id and password.

  • If you can not see this specific option to log in, this applies that you have decided to fly with a partner airline. In this situation, you can not use your credits.

  • Now, after logging in, you will see your JetBlue flight credit amount. From here, you can manually enter the value that you want to take out from your credits and use it to book your reservation.

  • After making this selection, select the "Apply Travel Credits" and continue as usual.

  • If the credits are not enough to cover the whole amount, then you can use your credit cards to complete the payment.

How long is JetBlue credit good for?

The validity of credits is also important to note. Different airlines have different policies when it comes to credits. If you want to book a JetBlue flight with travel credit in the future, note that these credits are only valid for one year. This means; If you got your refund on June 1st, then the credit is valid from that day till June 1st of the following year. So you get a whole year to decide what to do with your credit.

Is JetBlue credit transferable?

If you wish to transfer your credits to another JetBlue credit account, that won't be possible. JetBlue does not allow the credits to be transferred from one account to another. When you book a flight and travel in a pair or group, the refund credits are sent into individual accounts irrespective of your relationship with the fellow traveler. When you next use the account, even for kids, individual tickets are to be booked for each person rather than bulk booking. Keeping this in mind, you can not transfer your credits. However, there are no restrictions on who can use these credits. If you wish to book a ticket using your credits for someone else, say your parents or kids, you can do so. So, for reservations involving others, you can book a JetBlue flight with travel credit, and you are under no obligation to travel yourself to redeem them.
